Christmas Break and the Beach
Started at the Beachgate condominiums.
This was an advanced class and was full of learning experiences.
Started out to be a Happy New Year Star.
We noticed the sand was soft and powdery, a good sign that it was mostly blow sand (no clay). Took the second form down and noticed a large crack. Then the third form came down and a collapse, caught on video. Then it was a quick change to a clock tower with 2014. The clock was at 12:00 Midnight.
Then to Port Royal for a really great time. Lots of guests came out for the lesson and what a great bunch of carvers they were.
This boy carved the space shuttle.
This student and his sister built a four tower castle.
South Texas Snowball.
Thanks for playing in the sand today.

Sand Castles at Marker 67
This was a fun lesson. All ages here.
On the way home I snapped this pic of the Christmas tree on Cline's Landing down the street. The wind was a whipping around.
Merry Christmas!!!
