Twins and Five Year Olds On The Beach

This was a fun day. The beach was a bit of a mess with the high winds and waves but, perfect for building sand castles. The first lesson was a great family from San Antonio. These guys were focused!

Ta Dahhhhhh?????

Ta Dahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I caught this guy on marker 39 two weeks ago.

If you have never given sand castle lessons to five year olds, you are missing out on fun.
This is the second group of five year olds this week. Had to modify the lesson because of the seaweed. Instead of water table castles we stacked on bucket stacks. Can I say hearding cats! These kids will keep you young.

Silly face time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The birthday princess and here towered castle.
Happy Birthday.

Thanks for the fun day.

Windy Sand Castle Day

North Padre Island was the site of today's lesson.

Lots of fun. Tried to get my standard pictures of smiles and the silly face. Didn't happen. I did get some smiles and someone tearing down the sample castle. Oh well, everyone learned something and had fun. Have fun and help others have fun!

Thanks for the great afternoon.

A Great Day At Port Royal Ocean Resort

Port Royal  Ocean Resort was the place to be today. Lots of towers.

This eight year old girl was a marvelous hand stacker. Really great castle.
Mom and little sister built a house out of sand.

Senior week break for these girls. Nice castle.

Thank you for the fun day today.

Today's Lesson At Marker 17

What a beautiful day for a sand castle lesson.

The water, the beach, the day, all made for a great day in Port 'A'.

I am looking to see this student next year in the amatuer division at SandFest.

I took the following pictures from the Sandmobile. I just saw the water and the birds and thought this would make a great picture. Mustang Island is where you ought to be.

Thank you for the great morning on the beach.

Day 2 Of SandFest Contest, Day 6 of Event

A view of Lesson Mountain. Chip Cooper and Captain Steve had a great crop of future sand sculptors on hand.

Sand Marlins in the contest.
Had a collapse too close to shut down time to go for plan B.
Sorry Marlins, hope you had a fun time.

Had some rain damage at the top that I could not salvage so, I went with what I had. Kind of blends in with the piece.
