Had a learning experience today. Heavy clay sand caused water problems. Got something carved and people were happily snapping pictures.

Fun Friday Castles
The first lesson was an unusual castle. The young castle builder was into roads. Wanted roads, tunnels and traffic lights. Ta DAHHHHHH: Thanks for the fun time!
Ok this was a big castle. Arches, Arches, Arches! Pyramid tried here and there.

Stingray Jack Moves to Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico
Stingray Jack is on the move to Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico. Here is a picture of Stingray Jack, the Port 'A' Sandcastle Guy, and Pirate Larry, at La Palya in Corpus Christi:

Ike's Aftermath
Port Aransas and Corpus Christi were spared the wrath of Ike. If you see the pictures of Galveston and Houston after the Hurricane you can only imagine how it could have changed the landscape on Mustang and Padre Islands.
I took some pictures today of some of the surge damage to the islands and was amazed at the loss of dunes. Sandy Feet posted some pictures of South Padre after Ike. This was a big storm.
